The Kumbatia double-breasted blazer has a classic silhouette with peak lapel rever. Shoulder pads are used to create an oversized shape. The blazer is made from Faso Dan Fani striped pique handwoven 100% organic cotton. Faso Dan Fani is an artisanal narrow hand loom woven cotton cloth from Burkina Faso. The blazer is lined with certified viscose throughout.

The name Kumbatia {Kuu-mba-tee-a} means embrace in Swahili, a language spoken in 14 African countries.

It became a source of national pride after the West African country achieved independence in 1984, its first president, revolutionary leader Thomas Sankara, declaring: “To wear the Faso Dan Fani is an economic, cultural and political act of defiance to imperialism.” Asantii loves its understated striped design and spirit of unity, making the fabric a special addition to this collection.
